Modify Email Settings in Existing Account - Windows 10 Mail

The purpose of this page is to describe how to access the settings in an email account to make changes.

  1. Click Mail to open it.
  2. Select the gear icon in the lower right of the left panel.
  3. From the Settings panel, select Manage Accounts.
  4. To update a password, select your email account and from the scrollable settings window make any changes that may be necessary.
  5. To add an account click Add Account after clicking the gear icon. Note: Click Advanced Settings below Other for best results. The scroll bar is hidden unless you mouse over where one is expected.
  6. Getting a pop up that says your account is out of date:
  7. Click Fix Account. If it is a new password change, type the new password and click Done.
