Modify Email Settings in Existing Account - Outlook 2007

  1. The purpose of this page is to describe how an already existing email account may be modified to work with OlympusNet email servers.
  2. Click the Tools menu and select Account Settings.
  3. On the E-mail tab, select the account you wish to edit and click Change.

  4. Follow the text below for the appropriate settings for your account entered in the fields marked by red rectangles in the screenshot below.
    a. For olympus.net email (janedoe@olympus.net):
    • For both Email Address and for User Name beneath Logon Information, enter your full email address (janedoe@olympus.net)
    • Enter mail.userservices.net in both the Incoming Mail (POP3) and in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) fields
    • Click Next, then finish
    b. For email in your own domain (sally@example.com):
    • For both Email Address and for User Name beneath Logon Information, enter your full email address (sally@example.com)
    • Enter mailc11.megamailservers.com in both the Incoming Mail (POP3) and in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) fields
    • Click Next, then finish

  5. If you are receiving email but cannot send email, follow steps 1-4 to access the settings, and then click the More Settings button (screenshot immediately above shows the button). Click the Outgoing Server tab to be sure outgoing authentication is checked, as the screenshot below shows. Click Advanced for further settings before clicking OK.

  6. The desired settings are shown in the screenshot below.
    Click OK if any changes were made, then Next, then Finish.
