How to set up an OlympusNet (or other) email address to send/receive email using a account; and how to edit settings if needed after a change.

  1. Log in to a Google account:
  2. Click on the Gear Icon, and select Settings from the menu.
  3. Click on the option Accounts and Import.
  4. Scroll down to Check mail from other accounts, and click Add a mail account...
  5. Enter the email address on the account you want to use in the interface. Click on Next Step.
  6. If you want to send and receive email that appears to come from the email address being added, just click Next Step on this dialog box. If you only want to read email coming to it, you may consider using the check box "Treat as an alias." In this case, if you do reply to emails, the replies will be sent from the address.
  7. Enter the password and Pop Server name as shown, and click the Add Account button.
  8. To allow sending mail from this email address click Yes, and then Next Step.
  9. Enter the appropriate SMTP Server name associated to the email address being set up. Enter the email address and password, enter Port 587, and select Secured connection using TLS as shown. Click Add Account.
  10. A Verification notice will be sent to the email address you are adding. Either sign in to the account or check the email application for it and copy the verification code number into the dialog box as seen below and click Verify. [You may also just click on the link in the confirmation email.]

How to Edit the not-gmail account in the Gmail interface

  1. Follow steps 1-3 above, to get into the Accounts and Import options.
  2. In the case of a password change, look for the Edit Info link for both the Send Mail and the Check Mail options, in order to update the password for both sending and receiving. Clicking on Edit Info will show dialog boxes like those in steps 7 and 9. Enter the new password and save the changes.
