  1. 0:00 - 01:18 Audio only - pre-video introduction
    1. This video shows how two OlympusNet email users janedoe@olympus.net and sally@vendor.olympus,net should be set up on their Macintosh OS X computers. The narrative applies to versions Snow Leopard 10.6.8 through Mavericks 10.9.5. Yosemite, version 10.10, has minor differences which we’ll point out. Both Janedoe and Sally use POP email which is very similar to IMAP. Janedoe and Sally's computers POP email downloads email from the OlympusNet email server for storage on their computers whereas a computer set up for IMAP views mail on the email server.

The only difference between the Janedoe and Sally setups is that they use different email servers.

If you have a domain account, pretend that vendor.olympus.net is your domain.

We’ll review the working Janedoe account, then fix Sally’s account which will neither send nor receive email.
