We are a USMC homeschooling family, currently stationed
in Iwakuni, Japan. Before we left the States for 3 years, we wanted
to take the family on a tour of the Pacific States! In April and
May of 1996 we took 4 weeks to see CA, OR and WA (not nearly enough time,
but all we had). We drove around the Olympic penninsula on 4/29/96.
We passed up the first two rainforests to make time to see the jewel of
the rainforests, Hoh- and it was closed :-( No time to go back...
maybe someday. Lake Crescent was gorgeous! We hiked to Marymere
Falls, which was also lovely. I'm no photographer, just a person
with a point-and-shoot camera, and an interest in landscape photography,
but I hope you enjoy these few shots.
