I played open mics and a few power trio dances a year through 2006 but stopped liating them here in 1999. I moved away from PT in 2007.

2nd and 4th SUNDAYS CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The jam session coordinators are in negotiations with the new local cable TV station at Port Townsend High School for a possible program slot for the 2nd and 4th Sundays in the future.
The Public House sessions will continue on the 1st and 3rd Sunday.
The plan is for tapes of the sessions to be aired at a later time so that young people will not be intimidated by a live camera. Permission to broadcast will be asked for each participant. Probably a form to sign. I'm excited about it. :)

May 1 -- 8:30 pm to 12:00 midnight -- The Greg Vinson Dance Band at the American Legion Hall in Port Townsend.
This dance has been timed to coincide with the ending of the Port Townsend Gallery Walk. Admission is $5.00 at the door.
All ages welcome. No tobacco, drugs or alcohol will be allowed in the dance hall itself. Todd Fisher on bass. Bob Dickie on drums. Possible guests. Put on your dancing shoes after the Walk.

February 20 -- 8:00 pm to 12:00 midnight -- The Greg Vinson Dance Band for the Palindrome Dance Club at the Palindrome in Port Townsend.
The Palindrome Dance Club has been around for a while. They sponosor dances at the Palindrome the third Saturday of each month. These folks go for swing dancing but everyone who loves to dance is always welcome. The $6.00 admission includes a free dance workshop before the show for anyone interested starting at 7:00.
I always try to hire a few horn players from the Jazz Crossing Jam Sessions for a few sets of hard-hitting R and B as well as a few singers from the Wild Rose Chorale.
All ages welcome. No tobacco, drugs or alcohol.
February 14 - from 4:45 to 5:30 pm - with the Wild Rose Chorale at the Otter Crossing Cafe in Port Townsend.
This is a special Valentine's Day concert and dinner. The group will be singing their extensive repertoire of love songs. Reserved seating. Tickets are $25. Doors open at 4:00 and there are three entrees to choose from. I don't know what they will be yet, but you can bet they will all be excellent based on my own experience.

January 17 - from 6:45 to 7:30 ish - The Port Townsend Gospel Choir at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Port Townsend. (Clay and Taylor, Uptown, across from the Rec Center)
This is a group of volunteers from the community. We've had two rehearsals and are having much fun together. There's also a slide show in honer of Dr. Martin Luther King. We'll be singing from the choir loft. Try it, you'll LIKE it. :)
