July 15 or Earlier: Early Birds Arrive and Enjoy the Beach & other ACTIVITIES at Ocean Shores. See Bottom of this page for more detailed description of activities.
July 16, Friday: Most reunion attendees arrive, check-in at hotel.
Hospitality Room Open Noon-Midnight. No Host Bar 5PM-Midnight. Go out on the town for dinner if you like.(Remember Washington law starting January '99 is .08 blood alcohol for a DWI, so you might want to walk to dinner?)
July 17, Saturday:
AM: Breakfast at the Polynesian's Mariah Restaurant (Optional). 10% discount coupons available at hotel desk.
Hospitality Room Open all Day.
Rest of the Day: Choice of Ocean Shores Activities. Pair up for a golf game, horseback riding on the beach, rent a moped or bicyle, go fly a kite, or do nothing but sit around and chat. At the hotel there is a volleyball court for the still-wanna-be-jocks.
There will be a loosely organized sandcastle-building contest, organized sort-of by classes, on the beach by the hotel, for those who must have something to do but aren't highly motivated towards anything else. Get a six-pack or bring a thermos of daiquiries to stimulate your creative juices. We will have a sign-up sheet in the hospitality room but you can make your decision to come at the last second --- we're going to be rather loose about everything.
Early Evening:Go out to dinner and stuff yourselves. (I'll publish a list of restaurants soon.)
About 9 PM to ?: Old Foggies Sock Hop at the Polynesian. Wear whatever you want, but bring your dancing white socks. '50s and '60s music, no host bar, dance till you drop.
July 18, Sunday:
Breakfast Buffet available (optional) at the Mariah or fix something in your room, or go out to a local restaurant.
Hospitality Room Open all Day.
Rest of the Day and Evening:
Whatever you want to do guys and gals. By this time you will have figured it out and will have organized something to do with someone or will be begging me to schedule a rematch of the sandcastle contest or a kite flying contest.
July 19 (Monday):
Complimentary Continental Breakfast at the Hotel
Hospitality Room Open Till Noon for Goodbyes.
Most people will head home, but many will stay on and enjoy themselves!
