Listin' is a reflection on what I've experienced in the Byzantine process involving the listing of Puget Sound Chinook salmon with the purported end of saving/restoring magnificent wild salmonid populations. A fella' I know has been fishing salmon on the Peninsula for over fifty years. He's also been a participant in the public process purportedly directed at saving salmonids. A while ago he remarked to me, "It's all about: look good, feel good, hire people, but do NOTHING!" The river I'm talkin' 'bout is the
Dungeness, but it can be what ever you'd like. |

The recording was done at home with me on vocals, two electric guitars, electric bass, shakers, tambourine and banjo head. Upon downloading and listening to it, Port Townsend bluesman, George Rezendes, suggested I crank-up the vocals in the mix. On 10/6/00, I remixed & reposted the tune. The song was slightly remixed/mastered/posted once again on 2/28/02. |
