PATRIOTIC BEADED BEAD NECKLACE FOR GWENN YAPLE:

After 9/11 many of us US designers were showing solidarity with the victims and heroes of the disaster/massacre by doing patriotic motifs in our beadwork. I designed a necklace for myself using the eagle side of a domed silver half dollar as the cab and beaded around it, then designed this strap, using long beaded beads in various combinations of red, white and blue. My friend Gwenn Yaple of Copper Coyote Beads liked the strap so much I made her one. It intersperses clear fire polish crystals, miracle beads, pali spacers, lapis and coral chips with the peyote beaded beads to good effect I think.
