Don't have a much bigger image of this one either. My friend Charlene Hughes and her bead group took lessons from and taught for Barbara Black Bear who was a great force for beading for many people. When Barbara closed her wonderful B&B Beads shop, Charlene and her friends as well as some of my other bead friends and I wanted to make Barbara a retirement gift. It ended up being a dance shawl with a piece of beadwork from each of us on it. This was my piece--a black bear bead teacher wearing a beaded necklace and teaching cub beaders how it's done. The colors are the ones I was told are Barbara's favorites. The pattern is available on Bead-Patterns.com. I did a lot of overbeading on this one to make the jewelry and the bead hanks stand out.
