Take me Back to Part 1.

Steve and Sheryl's Home Page

Here are some pictures of the completed Kayak. The boat looked so good that I had to buy a scanner so that I could create higher quality imagaes for this page.

Click on the text next to the image to view the full size picture. They are big and load slow, but look great!!! Hope you like them.

Shot of the deck taken head on.
Note how I tapered the rub strips at the bow.
I will have a detailed look at this on an upcoming page.

This picture was supposed to show the great contrast between the Dark Blue hull and the wood deck. Unfortunately, the paint is so glossy that it acts as a mirror and reflects the grass. I will redo this one later with a piece of canvas on the ground so that you can see the hull color better. At least you can get a feeling for how glossy the paint can be!!!

Ahh!!! The natural beauty of wood!
The top panels have wonderful grain textures that the
6 coats of varnish highlight.

Just christened "PINGU" and ready for the maiden voyage!

Our first lake trip.
Great spot for lunch and a break for "PINGU" too.

We will upload more pictures soon.

We hope you enjoyed your visit!
