Hostelling International Port Townsend

Group Information

The HI-Olympic Hostel is the ideal place to host a small group of thirty or less. Depending on the type of group visiting, special overnight rates may apply.

We offer modern co-ed or separate male/female dormitory-style accommodations with shared bathrooms in the hallways. Private rooms for instructors or other group members are available. Linens, towels and blankets are included.

A large fully-equipped kitchen is available for storage and meal preparation. A self-serve pancake breakfast is offered each morning, along with coffee and tea, on a donation basis.

Group reservations are requested as far in advance as possible, with consideration of other hosteller's bookings. Reservations must be cancelled at least 14 days prior to scheduled arrival. Any cancellation received within 14 days of arrival date is subject to loss of the first night's deposit. Reservations cancelled less than two days prior to scheduled arrival receive no refund. Any major changes to group size or to male/female count must be made at least 14 days prior to the scheduled arrival date and are subject to availability. Small changes (less than 10% of group size) may be made up to 24 hours prior to arrival and are also subject to availability.

A deposit amount of at least one night's stay per person in your group is required in order to obtain a confirmation. The deposit can be made in the form of certified funds or a credit card authorization (we accept Visa or Master Card). Please note, checks should be made to the order of HI - Washington State Council; they must be drawn from a US bank with funds payable in US dollars. The total balance is due upon arrival.

Educational or recreational walking tours through Fort Worden, an example of a World War I army installation, are available through the hostel. Environmental and land-based community service projects, Travel 101 workshops, and group art programs can also be arranged. A custom itinerary for your group that includes museums, plays, music events, or a trip to the Olympic National Park can be put together by our Group Coordinator.
