Association or Women in Science

Association for Women in Science (AWIS) is a non-profit scientific organization dedicated to encouraging women to pursue science careers and to achieving equity for women in science careers. The Olympic Peninsula Chapter holds regular meetings in Port Angeles and Port Townsend each quarter. Chapter priorities include increasing the profile of women scientists on the peninsula, creating opportunities to network with other scientists, and increasing the availability of resources to working women scientists.

NEXT Meeting:

J «   Saturday 25 June 2000: We will be climbing together at the Olympic Mountaineering Climbing Gym in Port Angeles from noon until 2:00 pm, at which point we will retire next door to Sirens for refreshments and discussions.
