Raising the Yurt - Day Three

Sunrise, Day Three

The roof is in place, and its time for the walls. We wait for the Nesting Bird workers to replace the broken lattice boards. We begin again at about 10am. The walls go up easily, but it is hot and we are tired. We are moving slowly, but at least we aren't fighting. Finally, at 5pm, we are done!

Tired, but proud!

We got Chinese take-out for dinner, and slept together on the floor. The yurt is as amazing and peaceful as we imagined.

Thanks!

Thank you to Will and Jenny and everyone at Nesting Bird Yurts for their help.
To the Carrolls, Prescotts and Pipias, and the girls of Cadette Girl Scout Troop 823-
you are all angels, and earned your haloes for your help with this project.

I learned that:

Many hands make the load lighter,

When the going gets rough, yelling doesn't help, but being kind to one another does,

The kindness and support of friends makes our dreams possible.

May we share much laughter and conversations in this place we built together.
