And now for something completely different.....

I am currently looking into buying a 1914 Norwegian Freighter in Connecticut and bringing her around through
the Panama Canal to Port Townsend.  I visited it in Chester, Connecticut in mid November, 2007 and here
are some photos for now.  More to come....

60' 10" trunnel fastened frames and long leaf pine planking

Basically in pretty good shape, needs tlc like any boat, old or new.

Foredeck is planked but was fiberglassed over when she lived in Florida, the sun just opened up the planks.

Nice salon in the after main cabin.

The couch has got to go but lots of potential in the main deck cabin.

Companion way down to the open cargo hold out of the weather and seas.

Basic bunk in the cargo hold.  This is the forward engine room bulkhead which is about midships.

Spartan wheel house, needs a working radar and a few bits a pieces.

The mighty Brunvoll 90 hp, 2 clyinder, 2 cycle semi-deisel engine

Crazy mechanics.  Here is the governor, control and pump assembly.

Engine starting instructions.  Can anyone translate this?
