Welcome to My Wall Hangings Page
I have made numerous wall hangings
varying in size and design. Included on this page are some of
our favorites

Grandma's Album I
This wall hanging is a combination
of pieced and appliqued squares. It is hand appliqued, machine
pieced and hand and machine quilted. This was one of my favorite
projects.

Hawaiian Wall Hanging - the
background and foreground were purchased while we were in Hawaii
several years ago. Many of the Hawaiian quilters were very accessible
to the public and offered classes in the corridors of the mall.
Naturally, I took the class! The wall hanging is hand appliqued
and hand quilted in the echo style of quilting that is unique
to Hawaiian quilts.

The Irrigation Festival Logo
The Chairman of the 1998 Irrigation
Festival asked me to make the 1998 logo in fabric. The wall hanging
was auctioned off at the Kick-off dinner that opened the festival.
This was the first time I had ever attempted to do a picture from
scratch and I had my doubts at first. The fabric logo brought
in over $600 for the festival! It was very well received.
The wall hanging was machine
pieced, hand appliqued and machine quilted. The lettering is done
by hand also.

Wedding Announcement
A friend brought me a black
and white picture of her daughter's wedding announcement. She
wanted it made up in fabric and framed. It is hand appliqued,
hand pieced and machine quilted.

The Photographer
Our neighbor is a professional
photographer and I made this wallhanging in appreciation for all
the nice things he had done for us. (This picture is from a Norman
Rockwell drawing.)

1999 Irrigation festival logo
wallhanging
I completed the 1999 wallhanging
and donated it to the festival to again be auctioned off. It is
hand appliqued and machine pieced.

This wall hanging was made by a friend
that called me and said "teach me to quilt". This is
a wall hanging she completed as a 50th Anniversary gift for her
mother-in-law. Not bad for a beginner. When I told her to go by
her fabric, she had to buy her first sewing machine as well!

Grandma's Album II
I liked Grandma's Album I so much that
I made the second quilt designed by the same man. This quilt has
been made for my daughter in Anchorage, Alaska. It was as enjoyable
to make as the first one.
