If you are traveling and using your computer, you may experience difficulty
sending email using a connection service other than OlympusNet. For
example, a hotel's Internet service or connecting at a Starbucks Coffee
Company's T-Mobile wireless service. Some connection services block the standard port
for sending email, SMTP Port 25. Working around this issue requires changing the SMTP
Port 25 to Port 587. Please note that once this change has been made you will not
need
to change it back. These settings will work accessing your email from anywhere, and are also ideal for
tracking
your email.
This document explains how to enable universal email access using
Entourage.
Enabling Universal Email Acess
- Open Entourage.
- From the Tools menu, select Accounts. The
Accounts box appears.
- Click once on the name of the account you wish to edit. This will highlight the account.
- Click on the Edit button at the top of the Accounts window. DO NOT click on the edit menu at the very top of the screen.
- The Edit Account box appears
- On the Account Settings tab in the Sending Mail
section, click on the Click here for advanced sending options button underneath the SMTP server box.
- Place a checkmark in the box next to Override default SMTP

SMTP Port 587 has been enabled.
