To get upgrade instructions or to establish an AOL account, contact AOL customer service at 1-800-827-6364. Contact AOL technical support at 1-800-827-3338 if you have questions about configuring the AOL software. 1) Log on to OlympusNet using your normal OlympusNet dialer (The PPP Control Panel, FreePPP, Apple Internet Dialer, Internet Dialer, Config PPP, etc). 2) Open the "America Online" application. 3) In the "Welcome" window, select "TCP Connection" in the Select Location popup menu, or verify that it is set that way from a prior connection. 4) Enter your password and sign on to AOL. Step 3 is usually only required the first time you use OlympusNet to sign on to AOL, or if you have switched back to a direct dialup location. If you have trouble with your OlympusNet connection after installing the AOL softwareRemove the AOLLink extension from your Extensions folder or disable it using the Extensions Manager or your favorite startup manager. AOLLink is not necessary when using the America Online software through your OlympusNet connection, and it can interfere with regular Internet access. Remember to restart your Mac so that AOLLink will become inactive. |
