INTRODUCTION TO DoubleVerify SPAM FILTER
We are pleased to announce the release of our new spam filter DoubleVerify. This filter is radically different from most spam filters because it is based on how spam is sent rather than what it contains. About forty companies and individuals have been testing DoubleVerify for three weeks and they are impressed by its accuracy. DoubleVerify is unique to OlympusNet. Evaluators sent the following comments:
STARTUP OF DoubleVerify SPAM FILTER 23 March
On Tuesday, March 23rd at 10AM we will turn on our DoubleVerify spam filter. It will require no changes on your part, and those sending mail to you will not see anything different. Most people notice a significant drop of spam. DoubleVerify will replace an aggressive and less accurate filter. If you prefer not to use DoubleVerify, after March 23rd at 10AM, you may disable (and later re-enable) it in your AccountManager at Account Manager - Log In under Spam/Power Filters. For more information about DoubleVerify, see DoubleVerify FAQs.
OUTAGE WEDNESDAY MAY 10th
On Wednesday May 10th our clustered firewall locked up, bringing down our DSL, mail, and modem authentication services. We were unable to restart the firewall remotely but now are able to do so and recently installed the latest software upgrade. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this may have caused you.
STILL WAITING FOR DSL?
As we've informed our Port Ludlow customers, Qwest will turn up DSL for the North and South Bay areas this month. Qwest continues to deploy remote DSL terminals in Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend and soon Marrowstone Island and Shine. Following is the list of the latest remote DSL sites and installation dates: Remote DSL Sites. To identify the location of the remote DSL equipment, enter the address of the site into one of the mapping services such as http://www.mapblast.com or http://maps.yahoo.com
