Changing Your Modem Number on a Mac

These instructions will work for Macs with OS 8.x or 9.x. If what you see on your computer screen does not match these instructions, STOP and contact OlympusNet support. These instructions assume that your computer already has a working connection to OlympusNet.  If your computer does not already have a working connection to OlympusNet, follow the appropriate Mac setup instructions for your computer.

If you have not already done so, look up a Dialup modem number or a Dialup Unlimited modem number that is local for the location you will be calling from.

1) Click your Apple menu in the upper left-hand corner, click Control Panels then click Remote Access ..

2) If you do not see the "Name" and "Password" lines, click the triangle next to "Setup".

3) Confirm that your OlympusNet Email address (e.g. janedoe@olympus.net) is entered in lowercase letters along with your password.

4) Change the phone number to a modem number that is local for the location you will be calling from.

 5) Close the Window then click "Save" when prompted to do so.

If you are unable to connect, contact OlympusNet support for assistance.
