QWEST'S GUARANTEED SELF-INSTALLATION SUPPORT

Qwest provides a free technical support line that customers can contact on an unlimited basis to complete their installation. If the Qwest online support technician determines that you need onsite assistance, a Qwest technician will be dispatched  within four business days to perform the Qwest DSL installation.

Your computer must be in good working order. See service minimum requirements.

LAN (more than one computer) connectivity is excluded. Self-installation support is limited to a stand-alone computer only.

Note: The technician is dispatched to provide installation or assistance for the DSL product only. PC installation or ISP configuration is not included. Work not specifically related to installing the modem is not included. 

If the technician arrives on site and your computer is not DSL ready (i.e., does not meet minimum requirements), the technician cannot complete the install. You would then upgrade the computer accordingly and reschedule the install.

Inside wiring work is related to customer-owned facilities. It is not included and, if required, will be billed as a time and materials charge. This is not covered by your Linebacker service, if you are a subscriber.

Wiring able to support dial tone will not always support DSL. If it is determined that you cannot receive DSL because the line will not support it, the technician will not be able to complete the install.
