Port Townsend Community Orchestra
Port Townsend Community Orchestra 2007-2008 Season Michael-Ann Burnett

Fall Concert Details

Cellist Michael-Ann Burnett currently lives in Bellingham, WA, where she teaches at several local schools. In addition, she has begun recording a CD with "Hip Gnosis", a small ensemble with an eclectic repertoire that ranges from Charles Mingus to James Taylor.

No stranger to Port Townsend, Michael-Ann served as founder and conductor of the PTCO for our first four years, and founded The Music Studio, a local music school. She has served as conductor for the Boeing Employees’ Orchestra and the Renton Youth Symphony as well the Portage Bay Philharmonic, and was a "Composer in Residence" through the Washington State Arts Commission "Artist in the Schools" program. As a cellist, Michael-Ann is a frequent performer in the Whatcom Museum’s Brown Bag Concert Series. We look forward to welcoming her as featured soloist for our October concert.

The Port Townsend Community Orchestra has been active on the Quimper Peninsula of Washington Sate since 1987.

We are your friends and neighbors, and the people you see and work with every day in your community. We are also musicians who volunteer our time to play together each week, and our goal is to give you - our neighbors, co-workers and friends - beautiful music to enjoy.

We offer three concerts each year, in the fall, winter and spring, and a special holiday concert in December. Our concerts are free! We do not charge admission because we want everyone to have the opportunity to attend.
