We are down to the end game for playing for the March concert. If you want to

be part of the Dungeness All-Stars Folk Dance Band, you must attend

Saturday’s practice starting promptly at 9:00 a.m. We have a lot of work to do

in one hour.

Here is our set list. Golden Slippers, Believe Me Of All Those Endearing

Young Charms, Boston Two Step, Buckwheat Batter, Petronella, Scotland The

Brave, Nelly Bly, Redwing, Soldier’s Joy, Road To Boston, and Five Foot Two

Eyes Of Blue. Practice at home please. If you don’t have one of these tunes,

call me at 360-385-0456 or e-mail me and I will get it for you.

Saturday’s practice will be fun and crisp, and we need you all. We are going to

warm up the crowd so now is the time to play music like you are playing for a

Chuckle Laughs

What’s Her Condition?

A sweet grandmother telephoned St. Joseph 's Hospital. She timidly asked, is

it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?

The operator said, I'll be glad to help, dear. What's the name and room

number of the patient?

The grandmother in her weak, tremulous voice said, Norma Findlay, Room

302.

The operator replied, let me put you on hold while I check with the nurse's

station for that room. After a few minutes, the operator returned to the phone

and said, I have good news.

Her nurse just told me that Norma is doing well. her blood pressure is fine,

her blood work just came back normal and her physician, Dr. Cohen, has

scheduled her to be discharged tomorrow.

The grandmother said, thank you. That's wonderful. I was so worried. God

bless you for the good news.

The operator replied, you're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?

The grandmother said, no, I'm Norma Findlay in Room 302. No one tells me

squat about my health."

Only In America

Only in America do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of

the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at

the front.

Only in America do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries and diet

cokes.

Only in America do banks leave vault doors open and then chain the pens to

the counters.

Only in America do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway

and put our useless junk in the garage.

Only in America do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages

of eight.
