We are a united voice for equestrians living on and near the east side of the Olympic Peninsula.
Our purpose involves the planning, promotion, maintenance, and low impact use of trails open to horses and mules on federal,
state, and local lands in Washington State. BCHW is a non-profit organization.

There are so many horse related matters happening in Jefferson County that this web page could run right off the bottom
of the screen. Lots of public committees are going on where the presence of horses on trails is being debated.
Volunteer to help us keep trails open!!!!

Chapter Rides
Ride with the
Chapter.
These rides build
confidence, allow for
catching up on events
and lives in a friendly
atmosphere, and most
importantly, let land
managers know that we
are out there and we
need to keep our
trails!!
The July chapter ride
will be on the
Dosewallips trail, Saturday,
July
19, at 9:30 am, ride
out at 10. We will ride
up to the Dosewallips
campground in Olympic
National Park where we
have lunch, then ride
back, 5 miles each way.
This is a fairly easy
ride on the (closed)
road into the
campground, with a
slightly difficult but
short switchback
section through the
washout bypass.
Hope to see you then.
We not only ride the trails and advocate for continued equestrian access, we also work to maintain them. Organized
work parties 1st Saturday of each month.
