Who Can Join?
Being members of the Backcountry Horsemen
does not mean that our members have to be
backcountry packers,
although we have a number of members who pack
with horses and mules.
As a matter of fact, most of our members do
not pack,
but are day riders who either camp at the

Benefits Of Joining
Anyone interested in supporting the activities of our chapter, including current, future, and armchair trail riders are
encouraged to join. You will receive the national, state and our own chapter newsletters. These contains
timely information on equestrian efforts across the country, state, and in our local area to develop and maintain horse facilities
and trails. There is also a wealth of information on places to go for that special vacation or camping trip. We
host a Chapter ride each month locally, hold an annual Prize Ride, a Christmas party, a booth at the Jefferson County Fair,
and several horse campouts (camping, with horses.) Plus, we always have a lot of fun when we get together!
