Gravity gradient is the second order derivative of gravitational potential, which can be observed by satellite gradiometer. The spherical harmonic coefficients of the gravity field can be obtained from gravity gradients through regularization scheme. Based on the analysis on the regularization scheme, a method to estimate the error of regularization solution is presented in this paper. The results of this paper will provide technical materials for China's future satellite gravity mission.
