New nationwide levellings have recently been completed or are approaching completion in Denmarkinland, Norway and Sweden. To support the incorporation of the new data into the United European Levelling Network (UELN) and into the Eurepean Vertical Reference Frame (EVRF) we are working on regional joint adjustment of all levellings around the Baltic. The work is also a important element in the creation of new national height systems. The key issues are the modelling of postglacial rebound (PGR) in the treatment of the levellings and in the height systems, the choice of datum(s), and the connection to the main body of the UELN network (the Baltic loop). The work is a co-operation with the UELN computing centre and with all countries around the Baltic. The current status of the project is described together with a description of previous as well as new height systems in the Nordic countries.
