The presented studies of seasonal variability of waters circulation in the Kuril Island Straits zone carried out with concern to the predominant types of atmospheric circulation on the basis of monitoring mathematical model. That has allowed find out some peculiarities of water exchange through the straits at different types of synoptic situation typical for a certain season. The integral flux values corresponding to the Okhotsk Sea waters flow out and the Pacific water supply in the straits for each possible typical scheme was obtained. It is traced seasonal variability of water circulation intensification in the straits. The structure and intensity of the main current of region, as well as the system of gyres with different vorticity, are changed considerably from season to season. To the great extent the temporal variability is related to the reconstruction of the atmospheric processes. This investigation allows application of existing notions on water dynamics and their seasonal variability in the Kuril Island area. The obtained results can be used for developing the forecasts of hydrological conditions in the given area.
